RemovingtheRearLiftArms
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingunits,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Removethecuttingunitfromtherearliftarmtoberemoved.

3.Disconnecttheliftcylinderfromtheliftarm(item6inFigure318)asfollows:
A.Remove1retainingringandthrustwasherfromthecylinderpinthat
securestheliftcylindertotheliftarm.
B.Pullthecylinderpinfromtheliftcylinderandliftarm.Locateandretrieve
thesecondthrustwasher.
C.Pivottheliftcylinderrodendawayfromtheliftarm.
4.Removethelynchpinandthrustwasherfromtherearofthepivotyoke(item
16inFigure317).Slidethepivotyokeassemblyfromtheliftarm.Locate
andretrievethefrontthrustwasher.
CAUTION
Becarefulwhenremovingtensionfromthetorsionspringonthe
rearliftarms.Thespringisunderheavyloadandmaycause
personalinjury.
5.Removetensionfromthetorsionspringsontherearoftheliftarmpivotshaft:
A.Notewhichshoulderstud(item5inFigure317)thetorsionspringendis
attachedforassemblypurposes.
