InstallingtheEngine
1.Locatemachineonalevelsurfacewithcuttingunitsloweredandkeyremoved
fromthekeyswitch.Chockwheelstokeepthemachinefrommoving.
2.Ensurethattheallpartsremovedfromtheengineduringmaintenanceor
rebuildingareinstalledtotheengine.
3.Ifenginemountbracketswereremovedfromtheengine,securebrackets
toenginewithlockwashersandbolts.T orquetheboltsto47to56N∙m
(34to42ft-lb).
4.Installenginetomachine.
A.Attachshortsectionofchainbetweenlifttabslocatedoneachendof
thecylinderhead
B.Connectahoistorchainfallatthecenteroftheshortsectionofchain.
Applyenoughtensionontheshortchainsothattheenginecanbe
supported.
CAUTION
Onepersonshouldoperateliftorhoistwhileanotherother
personguidestheengineintothemachine.
IMPORTANT
Ensuretonotdamagetheengine,fuelhoses,hydrauliclines,
electricalharness,radiator,batteryorotherpartswhileinstalling
theengine.
C.Carefullylowerenginetothemachineframe.Ensurethatthefastener
holesoftheenginemountbracketsarealignedwiththeholesinthe
enginemountssecuredtothemachineframe.
D.Insertboltdownthrougheachenginemountbracketandenginemount.
Placespacer,snubbingwasherandthenangenuton4bolts.Tighten
fastenerstosecureenginetoenginemounts.
5.Connecthydraulicpumpdriveshafttoengine;refertoHydraulicPump
Driveshaft(page6–159).
6.Connectallwireharnessconnectorstocorrectenginecomponents.
7.Removeplugsinstalledinhosesduringdisassembly.Connecthosesto
theengine:
