12.Carefullyraisetheenginefromthemachinemovingittowardthefrontofthe
machineandawayfromtheradiatorassembly.
13.Ifnecessary,removetheenginemountbracketsfromtheengine.
InstallingtheEngine
IMPORTANT
Ensurethatallpartsareremovedfromtheengineduring
maintenanceoroverhaularecorrectlyinstalledontheengine.
1.Iftheenginemountbracketswereremovedfromtheengine,securethe
bracketstotheenginewiththelockwashersandbolts.Torquetheboltsto
46to57N∙m(34to42ft-lb).
CAUTION
Theengineisveryheavy,andahoistnotratedfortheweightofthe
enginemayfail,causingpossibleinjuryanddamagetotheengine.
Usehoistequipmentratedtolifttheengine,whichisapproximately
200kg(441lb).
2.Attachasuitableliftorhoisttothelifttabsonthefrontandrearoftheengine.
Supporttheenginewithliftorhoisttopreventtheenginefromshiftingor
moving.
CAUTION
Use1persontooperatetheliftorhoistwhiletheotherperson
guidestheengineintothemachine.
IMPORTANT
Wheninstallingtheengineensurethatyoudonotdamagethe
engine,fuelhoses,hydrauliclines,electricalharness,radiatoror
otherparts.
3.Carefullylowertheengineintothemachine.Ensurethatthefastenerholes
oftheenginemountbracketsalignedwiththeholesintheenginemounts.
4.Inserttheboltdownthrougheachenginemountbracketandenginemount.
Installthespacer,snubbingwasher,andangenutonthe4bolts.Tighten
thefastenerstosecuretheenginetotheenginemounts.
5.Installthehydraulicpumpdriveshaft;refertoHydraulicPumpDriveshaft
(page6–159).
6.Connectthewireharnessconnectorstothefollowingenginecomponents:
A.The2enginewireharnessconnectorstothemachinewireharness.
B.Thepositivebatterycabletotheenginestartermotor.
