HydraulicSystemSafety
Seekimmediatemedicalattentionifuidisinjected
intoskin.Injecteduidmustbesurgicallyremoved
withinafewhoursbyadoctor.
Ensurethatallhydraulic-uidhosesandlinesare
ingoodconditionandallhydraulicconnections
andttingsaretightbeforeapplyingpressureto
thehydraulicsystem.
Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrompinhole
leaksornozzlesthatejecthigh-pressurehydraulic
uid.
Usecardboardorpapertondhydraulicleaks.
Safelyrelieveallpressureinthehydraulicsystem
beforeperforminganyworkonthehydraulic
system.
ChangingtheHydraulic
Fluid
ServiceInterval:Every800hours
Every2years—Drainandushthehydraulic
tank.
Ifuidbecomescontaminated,contactyour
authorizedTorodistributorbecausethesystemmust
beushed.Contaminateduidlooksmilkyorblack
whencomparedtocleanoil.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthe
cuttingunitstotheground,shutofftheengine,
andremovethekey.
2.Raisethehood.
3.Placealargedrainpanunderthettingsecured
tothebottomofthehydraulic-uidreservoir
(Figure100).

4.Disconnectthehosefromthebottomofthe
ttingandletthehydraulicuidowintothe
drainpan.
5.Installthehosewhenhydraulicuidstops
draining.
6.Fillthereservoirwithapproximately30L(8US
gallons)ofhydraulicuid;refertoCheckingthe
HydraulicFluid(page26).
Important:Useonlyhydraulicuids
specied.Otheruidscoulddamagethe
system.
7.Installthereservoircap.
8.Starttheengineanduseallofthehydraulic
controlstodistributehydraulicuidthroughout
thesystem.Also,checkforleaks.
9.Shutofftheengine.
10.Checkthelevelofthehydraulicuidandadd
enoughtoraiseleveltotheFULLmarkonthe
dipstick.
Important:Donotoverllthehydraulic
system.
