Theturf-compensationspringtransfersweightfrom
thefronttotherearroller(Figure15).Thishelps
toreduceawavepatternintheturf,alsoknownas
marcellingorbobbing.
Important:Makespringadjustmentswiththe
cuttingunitmountedtothetractionunit,pointing
straightaheadandloweredtotheground.
1.Makesurethatthehairpincotterisinstalledin
therearholeinthespringrod(Figure15).

springroduntilthecompressedlengthofthe
springis12.7cm(5inches)for5-inchcutting

decreasethespringlengthby12.7mm(1/2
inch).Thisslightlydecreasestheground
