Maintainthepropertorqueonthewheelnuts.
AdjustingtheTraction
DriveforNeutral
Themachinemustnotcreepwhenyoureleasethe
tractionpedal.Ifitdoescreep,adjustitasfollows:
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthe
cuttingunitstotheground,shutofftheengine,
andremovethekey.
2.Jackupthefrontofthemachineuntilthefront
tiresareofftheground.Supportthemachine
withjackstandstopreventitfromfalling
accidentally.
Note:On4-wheel-drivemodels,thereartires
mustalsobeofftheground.
3.Ontherightsideofthehydrostat,loosenthe
locknutonthetraction-adjustmentcam(Figure
92).

WARNING
Theenginemustberunningwhileyou
performthenaladjustmentonthe
tractionadjustmentcam.Thiscould
causepersonalinjury.
Keepyourhands,feet,face,andother
bodypartsawayfromthemufer,other
hotpartsoftheengine,andanyrotating
parts.
4.Starttheengineandrotatethecamhexineither
directionuntilthewheelsstoprotating.
5.Tightenthelocknuttosecuretheadjustment.
6.Shutofftheengine,removethejackstands,and
lowerthemachinetotheground.
7.Testdrivethemachinetomakethatsurethat
itdoesnotcreep.
