1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecutting
units,andengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostop.
3.Checkthetireairpressurebeforeuse;referto
CheckingtheTireAirPressure(page66).
Note:Thetiresareoverinatedforshipping.Adjust
thetireairpressurebeforeoperatingthemachine.
4.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevel;refertoCheckingthe
Hydraulic-FluidLevel(page72).
5.Greasethemachine;refertoGreasingtheBearings
andBushings(page54).
Important:Failuretoproperlygreasethe
machinewillresultinprematurefailureofcritical
parts.
6.Openthehoodandcheckthecoolantlevel;referto
CheckingtheCoolantLevel(page68).
7.Checktheleveloftheengine-oillevel,andcloseand
latchthehood;refertoCheckingtheLevelofthe
EngineOil(page57).
Note:Theengineshipswithoilinthecrankcase;
however,checktheoillevelbeforeandafterthe
engineisrststarted.
