CAUTION

(1,112°F)duringDPFregeneration.Hotexhaustgas
canharmyouorotherpeople.
•Neveroperatetheengineinanenclosedarea.
•Makesurethattherearenoammablematerials
aroundtheexhaustsystem.
•Nevertouchahotexhaustsystemcomponent.
•Neverstandnearoraroundtheexhaustpipeofthe
machine.

PeriodicResetRegeneration
IftheenginehasnotcompletedasuccessfulReset,
Parked,orRecoveryregenerationintheprevious100
hoursofengineoperation,theenginecomputerwillattempt
toperformaresetregeneration.

Note:IfyousettheInfoCentertoinhibitregeneration,the
InfoCenterdisplaysADVISORY#185(Figure69)every15
minuteswhiletheenginerequestsaresetregeneration.

Aresetregenerationproducestheelevatedengineexhaust.
Ifyouareoperatingthemachinearoundtrees,brush,tall
grass,orothertemperature-sensitiveplantsormaterials,
youcanusetheInhibitRegensettingtopreventtheengine
computerfromperformingaresetregeneration.
Important:Whenyoushutofftheengineandstartit
again,theinhibitregensettingdefaultstoOFF.

buttontoscrolldowntotheINHIBITREGENoption,and
presstherightbuttontoselecttheInhibitRegenentry
(Figure70).
