servicethemachine.Localregulationsmayrestrict
theageoftheoperator.Theownerisresponsiblefor
trainingalloperatorsandmechanics.
•Becomefamiliarwiththesafeoperationofthe
equipment,operatorcontrols,andsafetysigns.
•Beforeyouleavetheoperator’sposition,dothe
following:
–Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
–Disengageandlowerthecuttingunits.
–Engagetheparkingbrake.
–Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
–Waitforallmovementtostop.
–Allowthemachinetocoolbeforeadjusting,
servicing,cleaning,orstoringit.
•Knowhowtostopthemachineandshutofftheengine
quickly.
•Donotoperatethemachinewithoutallguardsand
othersafetyprotectivedevicesinplaceandfunctioning
properlyonthemachine.
•Beforemowing,alwaysinspectthemachinetoensure
thatthecuttingunitsareingoodworkingcondition.
•Inspecttheareawhereyouwillusethemachineand
removeallobjectsthatthemachinecouldthrow.

•Useextremecareinhandlingfuel.Itisammableand
