PushingorTowingtheMachine
Inanemergency,youcanmovethemachinebyactuating
thebypassvalveinthevariabledisplacementhydraulic
pumpandpushingortowingthemachine.
Important:Donotpushortowthemachinefaster
than3to4.8km/h(2to3mph)becauseinternal
transmissiondamagemayoccur.Thebypassvalve
mustbeopenwheneveryoupushortowthemachine.
1.Engagetheparkingbrake,shutofftheengine,and
removethekey.
2.Openthehood;refertoOpeningtheHood(page52).
3.Atthevariable-displacementpump,rotatethe
bypass-valvebolt1-1/2turnstoopenandallowoilto
bypassinternally(Figure95).
Note:Thebypassvalveislocatedattheleftsideof
thepump.Bybypassingtheuid,youcanmovethe
machineslowlywithoutdamagingthetransmission.
