Important:UsingengineoilotherthanAPICJ-4or
higher,ACEAE6,orJASODH-2maycausethediesel
particulateltertoplugorcauseenginedamage.
Usethefollowingengineoilviscositygrade:
•Preferredoil:SAE15W-40(above-18°C(0°F))
•Alternateoil:SAE10W-30or5W-30(alltemperatures)
ToroPremiumEngineOilisavailablefromyourauthorized
Torodistributorineither15W-40or10W-30viscosity
grades.
CheckingtheLeveloftheEngineOil
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Important:Checktheengineoildaily.Ifthe
engine-oillevelisabovetheFullmarkonthedipstick,
theengineoilmaybedilutedwithfuel;
IftheengineoillevelisabovetheFullmark,change
theengineoil.
Thebesttimetochecktheengineoiliswhentheengineis
coolbeforeithasbeenstartedfortheday.Ifithasalready
beenrun,allowtheoiltodrainbackdowntothesumpfor
atleast10minutesbeforechecking.Iftheoillevelisator
belowtheAddmarkonthedipstick,addoiltobringtheoil
leveltotheFullmark.Donotoverlltheenginewithoil.
Important:Keeptheengineoillevelbetweenthe
upperandlowerlimitsontheoilgauge;theenginemay
failifyourunitwithtoomuchortoolittleoil.
