1.Preparethemachineformaintenance;referto
PreparingforMaintenance(page52).
2.Measurethetireairpressure.
Note:Thecorrectairpressureinthetiresis83to
103kPa(12to15psi).
3.Ifneededaddairtoorremoveairfromthetire.
4.Repeatsteps2and3attheothertires.

Maintainthepropertorqueonthewheelnuts.
1.Preparethemachineformaintenance;referto
PreparingforMaintenance(page52).
2.T orquethewheelnutsto94to122N∙m(70to90ft-lb).
AdjustingtheTractionDriveforNeutral
Important:Themachinemustnotmovewhenthe
tractionpedalisreleased(intheNEUTRALposition).If
themachinemoves,adjusttractionpumpasfollows:
1.Preparethemachineformaintenance;referto
PreparingforMaintenance(page52).
2.Jackupthefrontofthemachineuntilthebothfront
tiresareofftheground,andsupportthemachinewith
jackstands,refertoSpecications(page29)and
JackingPointLocations(page54).
3.Fromthebottomofthemachineandattherightside
ofthetractionpump,loosenthelocknutthatsecures
theneutralreturn-adjustmentscrew(Figure136).

Theenginemustberunningsothenal
adjustmentofthetractionadjustmentcamcanbe
performed.Thiscouldcausepersonalinjury.
Keephands,feet,face,andotherbodypartsaway
fromthemufer,otherhotpartsoftheengine,
andanyrotatingparts.
4.Starttheengineandreleasetheparkingbrake.
5.Rotatetheneutralreturn-adjustmentscrewineither
directionuntilthewheelsstoprotating.
6.T orquethelocknutto22N∙m(16ft-lb).
7.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
8.Removethejackstands,andlowerthemachineto
theground.
9.T estdrivethemachinetoensurethatitdoesnotmove
whenthetractionpedalisintheNEUTRALposition.
