CheckingtheHydraulicLinesand
Hoses
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Checkthehydrauliclinesandhosesforleaks,kinked
lines,loosemountingsupports,wear,loosettings,
weatherdeterioration,andchemicaldeterioration.Makeall
necessaryrepairsbeforeoperating.
ReplacingtheHydraulicFilters
ServiceInterval:Every1,000hours—Ifyouareusing
therecommendedhydraulicuid,
replacethereturn-hydrauliclterand
charge-hydrauliclter.
Every800hours—Ifyouarenotusingthe
recommendedhydraulicuidorhaveeverlled
thereservoirwithanalternativeuid,replacethe
return-hydrauliclterandcharge-hydrauliclter.
Important:Useofanyotherltersmayvoidthe
warrantyonsomecomponents.
ChangingtheReturnFilter
Thehydraulicsystemisequippedwithareturnlter-service
indicator(Figure148).Youviewthelter-serviceindicator
throughtheholeintheoorplate.Withtheenginerunning
atoperatingtemperature,checkthecoloroftheindicator
asfollows:
•Greenindicatesnormalhydraulic-uidowthroughthe
lter.
•Refindicatesarestrictedlter.Changethereturnlter.
