tokeepforwardspeedslowandtomaintain
controlofthemachine.
•WhenoperatingamachinewithROPS
(rollover-protectionsystem),neverremovethe
ROPSandalwaysusetheseatbelt.
•Raisethecuttingunitswhendrivingfromonework
areatoanother.
•Donottouchtheengine,silencer/mufer,or
exhaustpipewhiletheengineisrunningorsoon
afterithasstoppedbecausetheseareascouldbe
hotenoughtocauseburns.
•Iftheenginestallsorlosesheadwayandcannot
makeittothetopofaslope,donotturnthe
machinearound.Alwaysbackslowly,straight
downtheslope.
•Whenapersonorpetappearsunexpectedlyin
ornearthemowingarea,stopmowing.Donot
resumemowinguntiltheareaiscleared.
MaintenanceandStorage
•Beforeservicingormakingadjustments,shutoff
theengine,andremovetheignitionkey.
•Ensurethattheentiremachineisproperly
maintainedandingoodoperatingcondition.
Frequentlycheckallnuts,bolts,screws,and
hydraulicttings.
•Makesurethatallhydrauliclineconnectorsare
tightandallhydraulichosesandlinesareingood
conditionbeforeapplyingpressuretothesystem.
•Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrompinhole
leaksornozzlesthatejecthydraulicuidunder
highpressure.Usepaperorcardboard,not
yourhands,tosearchforleaks.Hydraulicuid
escapingunderpressurecanhavesufcientforce
topenetratetheskinandcauseseriousinjury.If
uidisinjectedintotheskinitmustbesurgically
removedwithinafewhoursbyadoctorfamiliar
withthisformofinjury;otherwise,gangrenemay
result.
•Beforedisconnectingorperforminganyworkon
thehydraulicsystem,allpressureinthesystem
mustberelievedbystoppingtheengineand
loweringthecuttingunitsandattachmentstothe
ground.
•Checkallfuellinesfortightnessandwearona
regularbasis.Tightenorrepairthemasneeded.
•Iftheenginemustberunningtoperforma
maintenanceadjustment,keephands,feet,
clothing,andanypartsofthebodyawayfromthe
cuttingunits,attachments,andanymovingparts.
Keepeveryoneaway.
•Toensuresafetyandaccuracy,haveyourT oro
Distributorcheckthemaximumenginespeedwith
atachometer.
•Formajorrepairs,warrantywork,updates
tosystems,orassistance,contactyourToro
Distributor.
•Toensureoptimumperformanceandcontinued
safetycerticationofthemachine,useonly
genuineTororeplacementpartsandaccessories.
Replacementpartsandaccessoriesmadeby
othermanufacturerscouldbedangerous,and
suchusecouldvoidtheproductwarranty.
