AdjustingtheTraction
DriveforNeutral
Themachinemustnotcreepwhenthetractionpedal
isreleased.Ifitdoescreep,adjustasfollows:
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,stopthe
engine,andlowerthecuttingunitstotheoor.
2.Jackupthefrontofthemachineuntilthe
fronttiresareofftheshopoor.Supportthe
machinewithjackstandstopreventitfrom
fallingaccidentally.
Note:On4wheeldrivemodels,thereartires
mustalsobeofftheshopoor
3.Ontherightsideofthehydrostat,loosenthe
locknutonthetractionadjustmentcam(Figure
79).

WARNING
Theenginemustberunningsothenal

camcanbeperformed.Thiscouldcause
personalinjury.
Keephands,feet,face,andotherbody
partsawayfromthemufer,otherhot
partsoftheengine,andanyrotating
parts.
4.Starttheengineandrotatethecamhexineither
directionuntilthewheelsceaserotation.
5.Tightenthelocknuttosecuretheadjustment.
6.Stoptheengine.Removethejackstandsand
lowerthemachinetotheshopoor.
7.Testdrivethemachinetomakesureitdoesnot
creep.
AdjustingtheRearWheel
Toe-in
1.Rotatethesteeringwheelsothattherear
wheelsarestraightahead.
2.Loosenthejamnutoneachendofthetierod
(Figure80).
Note:Theendofthetierodwiththeexternal
grooveisalefthandthread.
