Situation:
Hardware that retains the lift arm Pivot Pins can loosen over time. (Figure 1 RH and Figure 2
LH)
Instructions:
Check and tighten hardware to 85 ft-lbs (115 N-m) as required during normal maintenance or every
50 hrs of operation. Failure to maintain proper hardware torque will result in worn end plates, pins
and hardware which could eventually lead to frame breakage.
As an additional service tip, ensure proper grease application by greasing the lift arms and cylinders
while the cutting units are on the ground. This removes the load and allows for complete grease
distribution.
