1.Installthebedbar,positioningthemountingears
betweenthewasherandbedbaradjuster.
2.Securethebedbartoeachsideplatewiththebedbar
bolts(nutsonbolts)andthe6washers.
Note:Positionanylonwasheroneachsideoftheside
plateboss.Placeasteelwasheroutsideeachofthe
nylonwashers(Figure29).
3.Torquebedbarboltsto27-36N-m(240–320in-lbs).
Note:Tightenthelocknutsuntiltheoutsidesteel
washerstopsrotatingandtheendplayisremovedbut,
donotovertightenordeectthesideplates.Washers
ontheinsidemayhaveagap.
4.Tightenthespringtensionnutuntilthespringis
collapsed,thenbackoff1/2turn(Figure30).
