Subject: Cutting Unit Side Plates spread apart.
Driving directly into or off of an abrupt slope can exceed the machines ground following
capabilities and allow the cutting units to move upward against the traction unit frame.
Forcing the cutting units to support the weight and momentum of the traction unit may
cause the side plates of the cutting unit to spread apart. In severe instances, the front
rollers may disengage from the collar assemblies.
To prevent side plate separation, Cutting Unit Support Kit (93-7771) and (93-7772) as
shown below is available through your local Toro distributor.
NOTE:
The Front Roller Scraper does
not fit with this kit installed.
