DANGER
Undercertainconditions,dieselfuelandfuel
vaporsarehighlyammableandexplosive.Are
orexplosionfromfuelcanburnyouandothersand
cancausepropertydamage.
•Fillthefueltankoutdoors,inanopenarea,
whentheengineisoffandiscold.Wipeupany
fuelthatspills.
•Donotllthefueltankcompletelyfull.Addfuel
tothefueltankuntilthelevelis1in.(25mm)
belowthetopofthetank,notthellerneck.
Thisemptyspaceinthetankallowsthefuelto
expand.
•Neversmokewhenhandlingfuel,andstayaway
fromanopenameorwherefuelfumesmaybe
ignitedbyaspark.
•Storefuelinaclean,safety-approvedcontainer
andkeepthecapinplace.
FuelTank
Every800hours—Drainandclean
thefueltank.
Beforestorage—Drainandcleanthe
fueltank.
Drainandcleanthefueltankevery800hours.Also,
drainandcleanthetankiffuelsystembecomes
contaminatedorifthemachinewillbestoredforan
extendedperiodoftime.Usecleanfueltoushout
thetank.
FuelLinesandConnections
ServiceInterval:Every400hours—Checkthefuel
linesandconnections.
Yearly—Checkthefuellinesand
connections.
Checkthefuellinesandconnectionsevery400hours
oryearly,whichevercomesrst.Inspectthemfor
deterioration,damage,orlooseconnections.
ServicingtheWaterSeparator
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily—Drain
waterorothercontaminantsfrom
fuellter/waterseparator.
Every400hours—Replacethefuel
ltercanister.
Drainwaterorothercontaminantsfromwaterseparator
daily.Replaceltercanisterafterevery400hoursof
operation.

2.Loosenthedrainplugonthebottomofthelter
canister.

6.Installtheltercanisterbyhanduntilthegasket

additional1/2turn.
7.Tightenthedrainplugonthebottomofthelter
canister.
FuelPickupTubeScreen
Thefuelpickuptube,locatedinsidethefueltank,is
equippedwithascreentohelppreventdebrisfrom
enteringthefuelsystem.Removefuelpickuptubeand
cleanscreenasrequired.
