Operation
TrainingPeriod
Beforeoperatingtheverticutterreels,evaluatethe
performanceofthereelatthedesiredsetting.Operate
inaclear,unusedareatodeterminewhetherthe
desiredresultswillbeachieved.Makeadjustmentsas
necessary.

AdjustingtheBladeDepth
Note:Themaximumrecommendedblade
penetrationdepthis6mm(1/4inch).
1.Placetheverticutterreelonalevelsurface.
2.Place2gaugebars,whichhavethedesired
depthofbladepenetrationbelowtheground,
underthefrontandrearrollersoftheverticutter
reel(oneachendofthereel)(Figure8).

Note:Astheverticutterbladeswear,the
diameterofthereeldecreasesandthedepth
settingchanges.Checkthedepthsetting
periodicallytoensurethatthedesiredsettingis
achieved.
