Subject: Leakage from Input Shaft Seal of Traction Piston Pump.
The traction piston pump in the units listed above may exhibit an oil leak at the input shaft
seal within the first 500 hours of operation. A spiral mark on the surface of the shaft may
be the cause of the condition. Attempts to correct using a new seal on a shaft with this
mark may result in a repeat leak.
If your unit experiences this condition within the first 500 hours of operation, contact your
local Toro distributor for an inspection of your unit. Units with this issue will be repaired at
no charge.
