SUBJECT: A flow divider is available to address irregular or uneven lift of front
outer cutting units.
SITUATION: The parallel lift circuit used on Reelmaster 5000 and 6000 units listed
above can allow fluid transfer between front outer lift cylinders in
turnaround position (lift while in enabled mode). Fluid transfer in
normal conditions is minimal. Quick turns, differences in weight
distribution and lift resistance can increase fluid movement allowing
cutting units to rest at different heights. In most instances this event
does not cause an inconvenience.
CORRECTION: Awareness of circuit operation along with more subtle mowing habits
is usually an effective solution. An electrically activated Flow Divider
is available and may be desirable for some applications. The Flow
Divider (105-3303) traps fluid eliminating fluid movement to keep
cutting units at a constant height in turnaround position.
Flow Divider (105-3303) is a direct replacement for the existing Flow
Divider but requires an adapter harness (104-9326). Refer to the
following guidelines for installation:
Reelmaster 6500/6700: Adapter harness (104-9326) is installed inline
at the S6A Solenoid. Use two bolts (321-23) to install Flow Divider
(105-3303) in the same location as current flow divider reusing fittings.
Reelmaster 5500: Adapter harness (104-9326) is installed inline at
the SV4 Solenoid. Use two bolts (321-23) to install Flow Divider (105-
3303) in the same location as current flow divider reusing fittings.
Reelmaster 5200/5400: Adapter harness (104-9326) is installed inline
at the S3 Solenoid. Use two bolts (321-23) to install Flow Divider
(105-3303) in the same location as current flow divider reusing fittings.
Hoses directly behind the Flow divider will need rerouted. Loosen
fitting nuts (not hoses) and rotate fittings to face toward left-hand side
of tractor. Retorque fitting nuts.
Note: The locations of Solenoids are identified on a decal under the
seat.
