Reelmaster 6700-D
Models:

210000101-280000999
210000101-280000999
Situation:
Some machines may develop a loud high pitch hydraulic noise (squeal) when the cutting units
are being raised or when it goes over lift relief. The cutting units will still lift, but the noise can
be loud enough to cause operator concern. The noise will seem to be coming from under or
just behind the operators seat area, and is most likely caused by the Gear Pump Relief Valve
Assembly (105-2891) located at the end of the Triple Gear Pump.
Instructions:
If this noise develops, verify that the source is the Relief Valve. If the Relief Valve is
determined to be the source, replace with Relief Valve Assembly (115-8032). This
improved Valve has a design that will eliminate the loud hydraulic noise when lifting or
going over the lift relief. Torque new Valve to 30-34 ft-lbs (41-46 Nm).
Units produced with serial numbers higher than listed already have Relief Valve (115-8032)
installed.
