Familiarization
Beforemowinggrass,practiceoperatingmachineinan
openarea.Startandstoptheengine.Operateinforward
andreverse.Lowerandraisecuttingunitsandengageand
disengagereels.Whenyoufeelfamiliarwiththemachine,
practiceoperatingupanddownslopesatdifferentspeeds.
Thebrakescanbeusedtoassistinturningthemachine.
However,usethemcarefully,especiallyonsoftorwet
grassconditionsbecausetheturfmaybetornaccidentally.
Individualturningbrakesmayalsobeusedtohelpmaintain
traction.Forexample,insomeslopeconditions,theuphill
wheelslipsandlosestraction.Ifthissituationoccurs,depress
uphillturnpedalgraduallyandintermittentlyuntiltheuphill
wheelstopsslipping,thus,increasingtractiononthedownhill
wheel.
Important:Beforemowinggrass,practiceoperating
themachineinturns.Turfdamageinturnsmayoccur
especiallyundersoftorwetgrassconditionsifthe
turniscompletedatahighspeedoratasmallturning
radius.Maintainaspeedbelow3mphduringaturn
andaturningradiusgreaterthan8feettominimize
turfdamagefromtiresorcuttingunits.Mountingthe
cuttingunitswiththesteeringpininthefrontmounting
holewillallowthecuttingunittosteeritselfasthe
tractionunitturnsprovidingoptimummaneuverability
andcuttingperformanceinturns.Duringcross-cutting
offairways,ateardropshapeturnisrecommendedto
increasecuttingproductivityandminimizeturfdamage.
DANGER
Whenoperatingthemachine,alwaysusetheseat
beltandROPStogether.Donotuseaseatbelt
withoutaROPS.
WarningSystem
Ifawarninglightcomesonduringoperation,stopthe
machineimmediatelyandcorrecttheproblembefore
continuingoperation.Seriousdamagecouldoccurifthe
machineisoperatedwithamalfunction.
Important:TheRedDiagnosticLight,onthesteering
tower,indicateswhentheglowplugsareOn.The
machineshouldnotbestarteduntiltheglowplugcycle
iscomplete.
Mowing
StartengineandmovethrottletoFASTsoengineisrunning
atmaximumspeed.MovetheEnable/Disableswitchto
ENABLEandusetheLOWERMOW/RAISEleverto
controlthecuttingunits(frontcuttingunitsaretimedto
lowerbeforetherearcuttingunits).Tomoveforwardandcut
grass,presstractionpedalforward.Maintainaspeedwhich
doesnotresultintheReelControlLightbeingilluminated.
Graduallyincreaseordecreasetractionspeedtoensure
properclipismaintained.
Transport
MovetheEnable/DisableswitchtoJoyStickDisable(mid
position),lockbrakepedalstogetherandraisethecutting
unitstothetransportposition.Becarefulwhendriving
betweenobjectssoyoudonotaccidentallydamagethe
machineorcuttingunits.Useextracarewhenoperating
