ServiceInterval:Every800hours
Afterevery800operatinghoursorannually,checktherear
wheeltoe-in.
1.Measurethecenter-to-centerdistance(ataxleheight)
atthefrontandrearofthesteeringtires.Thefront
measurementmustbe3mm(1/8inches)lessthanthe
rearmeasurement.
2.Toadjust,removethecotterpinandnutfromeither
tierodballjoint.Removetierodballjointfromaxle
casesupport(
Figure68).
3.Loosentheclampsatbothendsofthetierods(Figure
68).

4.Rotatethedetachedballjointinwardoroutwardone
(1)completerevolution.Tightenclampatlooseend
oftierod.
5.Rotatetheentiretierodassemblythesamedirection

6.Installtheballjointintheaxlecasesupportandtighten
thenutngertight.Measuretoe-in.
7.Repeatprocedureifnecessary.
8.Tightenthenutandinstallanewcotterpinwhenthe
adjustmentiscorrect.
AdjustingtheTractionDrive
forNeutral
Themachinemustnotcreepwhentractionpedalisreleased.
Ifitdoescreep,anadjustmentisrequired.
1.Parkmachineonalevelsurface,shutengineoffand
lowercuttingunitstotheoor.Depressonlytheright
brakepedalandengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Jackupleftsideofmachineuntilfronttireisoffthe
shopoor.Supportmachinewithjackstandsto
preventitfromfallingaccidentally.
Note:On4wheeldrivemodels,leftreartiremust
alsobeofftheshopoor.
3.Startengineandallowrunatlowidle.
4.Adjustjamnutsonpumprodendtomovepump
controltubeforwardtoeliminateforwardcreepor
rearwardtoeliminaterearwardcreep(
Figure69).
