2.Checkthetirepressure.Inatealltiresto103–137
kpa(15-20psi).
3.Checkallfastenersforlooseness;tightenasnecessary.
4.Greaseoroilallgreasettingsandpivotpoints.Wipe
upanyexcesslubricant.
5.Lightlysandandusetouch-uppaintonpaintedareas
thatarescratched,chipped,orrusted.Repairanydents
inthemetalbody.
6.Servicethebatteryandcablesasfollows:
A.Removethebatteryterminalsfromthebattery
posts.
B.Cleanthebattery,terminals,andpostswithawire
brushandbakingsodasolution.
C.Coatthecableterminalsandbatterypostswith
Grafo112Xskin-overgrease(ToroPartNo.
505-47)orpetroleumjellytopreventcorrosion.
D.Slowlyrechargethebatteryevery60daysfor24
hourstopreventleadsulfationofthebattery.
WARNING
Chargingthebatteryproducesgassesthat
canexplode.
Neversmokenearthebatteryandkeep
sparksandamesawayfrombattery.
Engine
1.Draintheengineoilfromtheoilpanandreplacethe
drainplug.
2.Removeanddiscardtheoillter.Installanewoillter.
3.Relloilpanwith7liters(7.5quarts)ofSAE15W-40
CD,CE,CF,CF-4,orCG-4motoroil.
4.Starttheengineandrunatidlespeedforapproximately
twominutes.
5.Stoptheengine.
6.Flushthefueltankwithfresh,cleandieselfuel.
7.Secureallfuelsystemttings.
8.Thoroughlycleanandservicetheaircleanerassembly.
9.Sealtheaircleanerinletandtheexhaustoutletwith
weatherprooftape.
10.Checkantifreezeprotectionandadda50/50solution
ofwaterandantifreezeasneededforexpected
minimumtemperatureinyourarea.
