cablesdisconnectedifthebatteryisstored
onthemachine.
PreparingtheEngine
1.Draintheengineoilfromtheoilpanandreplace
thedrainplug.
2.Removeanddiscardtheoillter.Installanew
oillter.
3.Relltheoilpanwithapproximately3.8L(4US
qt)ofSAE15W-40motoroil.
4.Starttheengineandrunitatidlespeedfor
approximately2minutes.
5.Shutofftheengine.
6.Thoroughlydrainallfuelfromthefueltank,fuel
lines,fuellter,andwater-separatorassembly.
7.Flushthefueltankwithfresh,cleandieselfuel.
8.Secureallfuelsystemttings.
9.Thoroughlycleanandservicetheair-cleaner
assembly.
10.Sealtheair-cleanerinletandtheexhaustoutlet
withweatherprooftape.
11.Checktheantifreezeprotectionandadd
antifreeze/coolantasneededfortheexpected
minimumtemperatureinyourarea.
