•Neverattempttoturnthereelsbyhandor
footwhiletheengineisrunning.
Note:Whenbacklapping,allthecuttingunitsoperate
together.
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface,lower
thecuttingunits,shutofftheengine,setthe
parkingbrake,andmovetheEnable/Disable
switchtothedisableposition.
2.Raisetheoorpaneltoexposethecontrols.
3.Maketheinitialreel-to-bedknifeadjustments
appropriateforbacklapping;refertothecutting
unitOperator'sManual.
4.Starttheengineandallowittorunatlowidle
speed.

Changingtheenginespeedwhile
backlappingmaycausethereelstostall.
•Neverchangetheenginespeedwhile
backlapping
•Backlaponlyatlowidleenginespeed.

8.Applylappingcompoundwithalong-handled
brush.Neveruseashort-handledbrush.
