tightenitsecurely.
MaintenanceandStorage
•Keepallnuts,boltsandscrewstighttobesurethe
equipmentisinsafeworkingcondition.
•Neverstoretheequipment,withfuelinthetank,
insideabuildingwherefumesmayreachanopen
ameorspark.
•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringinany
enclosure.
•Toreducetherehazard,keeptheengine,
silencer/mufer,batterycompartmentfuelstorage
area,cuttingunitsanddrivesfreeofgrass,leaves,
orexcessivegrease.Cleanupoilorfuelspillage.
•Replacewornordamagedpartsforsafety.
•Ifthefueltankhastobedrained,dothisoutdoors.
•Wheneveryoupark,store,orleavethemachine,
lowerthecuttingunitsunlessapositivemechanical
lockisprovided.
•Disengagethedrives,lowerthecuttingunits,set
theparkingbrake,shutofftheengine,andremove
thekey.Waitforallmovementtostopbefore
adjusting,cleaning,orrepairingthemachine.
•Shutoffthefuelwhilestoringortransportingthe
machine.Donotstorefuelnearames.
•Parkthemachineonlevelground.Neverallow
untrainedpersonneltoservicethemachine.
•Usejackstandstosupportcomponentswhen
required.
•Carefullyreleasepressurefromcomponentswith
storedenergy.
•Disconnectthebatterybeforemakinganyrepairs.
Disconnectthenegativeterminalrstandthe
positivelast.Connectthepositiveterminalrst
andthenegativeterminallast.
•Keephandsandfeetawayfrommovingparts.If
possible,donotmakeadjustmentswiththeengine
running.
•Chargebatteriesinanopen,well-ventilatedarea,
awayfromsparkandames.Unplugthecharger
beforeconnectingordisconnectingitfromthe
battery.Wearprotectiveclothinganduseinsulated
tools.
Hauling
•Usecarewhenloadingorunloadingthemachine
intoatrailerortruck.
•Usefull-widthrampsforloadingmachineinto
trailerortruck.
•Tiethemachinedownsecurelyusingstraps,
chains,cable,orropes.Bothfrontandrearstraps
shouldbedirecteddownandoutwardfromthe
machine.

Thisproductiscapableofamputatinghandsand

(e.g.,slopestoosteepforoperation).Surveythe
completemowingsitetodeterminewhichhills
canbesafelyoperatedon.Whenperformingthis
sitesurvey,alwaysusecommonsenseandtakeinto
considerationtheturfconditionandtherolloverrisk.
Training
Youmustbeskilledandtrainedinhowtodriveon
hillsides.Failuretousecautiononslopesorhillsmay
causethevehicletotiporroll,possiblyresultingin
personalinjuryordeath.
Operation
•Knowhowtostopthemachineandenginequickly.
•Donotoperatethemachinewhilewearingtennis
shoesorsneakers.
•Wearingsafetyshoesandlongpantsisadvisable
andrequiredbysomelocalordinancesand
insuranceregulations.
