Counterbalance
Youcanadjustthecounterbalanceontheliftarmsof
therearcuttingunitstocompensatefordifferentturf
conditionsandtomaintainauniformheightofcutin
roughconditionsorinareasofthatchbuildup.
Youcanadjusteachcounterbalancespringto1of
4settings.Eachincrementincreasesordecreases
counterbalanceonthecuttingunitby2.3kg(5lb).
Youcanpositionthespringsonthebacksideofthe
rstspringactuatortoremoveallcounterbalance
(fourthposition).
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthe
cuttingunits,engagetheparkingbrake,shutoff
theengine,andremovethekeyfromtheignition
switch.
2.Insertatubeorsimilarobjectontothelong
springendtorelievethespringtensionduring
theadjustment(Figure44).
CAUTION
Thespringsareundertensionandcould
causepersonalinjury.
Usecautionwhenadjustingthespring
tension.
3.Whilerelievingthespringtension,removethe
boltandlocknutsecuringthespringactuatorto
thebracket(Figure44).
