BladeSafety
Awornordamagedbladeorbedknifecanbreak,and
apiececouldbethrowntowardyouorbystanders,
resultinginseriouspersonalinjuryordeath.
Inspectthebladesandbedknivesperiodicallyfor
excessivewearordamage.
Usecarewhencheckingtheblades.Weargloves
andusecautionwhenservicingthem.Only
replaceorbacklapthebladesandbedknives;
neverstraightenorweldthem.
Onmachineswithmultiplecuttingunits,takecare
whenrotatingacuttingunit;itcancausethereels
intheothercuttingunitstorotate.

Checkthereel-to-bedknifecontactevenifthequality
ofcuthadbeenacceptablepreviously.Theremust
belightcontactacrossthefulllengthofthereeland
