Installation Instructions

Note: This basket kit will not fit on cutting units equipped

with groomers. For cutting units equipped with groomers,

Grass Basket, part no. 107–9518 and a Grass Basket

Mounting Kit, part no. 108– 6743 must be obtained for

each cutting unit.

Before servicing or making adjustments to the

machine, lower the cutting units to the floor, stop

the engine and remove the key from the switch.

Caution

1. Remove the bolt, washer and nut securing the left end

of the carrier frame to the inside of the left cutting unit

side plate (Fig. 1). Do not remove the frame spacer

positioned between the carrier frame and the side

plate.

Note: On cutting unit models 03860, 03861 and 03862,

also remove the support bar that extends between the ends

of the carrier frame.

2. Mount the end of the carrier frame to the side plate

with a stud, washer and lock nut as shown in figure 2.

4. Left basket support

3. Insert a basket shaft and left basket support onto the

stud and secure it with a lock nut as shown in figure 2.

4. Repeat the procedure on the right end of the carrier

frame.

5. Insert the basket onto the basket supports and secure

with a basket clip (Fig. 3).
