Situation:
Removing the fuel sediment bowl can result in fracture of that plastic
component. (Item 303)
Correction:
The engine manufacturer is evaluating the issue and modifications are pending.
As an interim resolution, it is recommended to use a 12 point 17 mm socket to
remove the cup for inspect and maintenance process. Tightening method:
Temporarily (hand) tighten for 2 to 3 rotations, then tighten by low range torque
wrench. The torque spec is: 15.9 in/lbf ± 2.65 in/lbf (1.8 Nm +/- 0.3 Nm)
