Subject: Fuel Tank Leaks at Seam.
In rare instances, combinations of engine operating speed, conditions, engine
performance characteristics, and other elements may contribute to the separation of the
Fuel Tank welded seam. Replacement Fuel Tank (104-2382) is now produced using a
thicker material to resist these effects. Should this type of failure occur, it is also
recommended to install Tank Bracket (104-2383) in place of the existing mounting
bracket. This improved bracket is specifically designed to counter the combined effects
that can cause this uncommon condition. Several decals are also needed to complete
the Fuel Tank assembly.
