1.Removethespringretainerlocatednearthekickstand.

2.Removethe2bolts(3/8inch)connectingtheright

sideplatetotherearcrossmemberandspringbracket

(Figure2).

Note:Workononlyonesideatatime.Thiswillkeep

therearcrossmemberalignedonthemachine.

3.Mounttherightbarandpreviouslyremovedspring

brackettothemachineusing2spacersand2bolts(3/8

x1–1/4inch)(

Figure2).

4.Removethe2bolts(3/8inch)connectingtheleftside

platetotherearcrossmember(Figure2).

5.Mounttheleftbartotheleftsideusing2spacersand2

bolts(3/8x1–1/4inch).

6.Securethetwobarstogetherusing2bolts(5/16x1

inch),2washers,and2angenutsthroughtheholes

correspondingtotheappropriatemodelasshownin

Figure1.

7.Mountthelightstothebar,andsecureeachonewith

thehardwareattachedtothelights(Figure2).

8.Plugthewireharnessintothelights(Figure2),

connectingthelongendtotherightlight.

9.Removethecavityplugandinstalltheswitchintothe

controlpanel,thenplugthelightwireharnessintothe

switch(Figure2).

10.Plugthewireharnesspowerconnectorintotheblue

wireswithfemalebulletconnectorsthatcomeoutof

theengineblowerhousing(

Figure2).

Note: Ensure that the wires leaving the connectors are not bent at a 90° angle. 12. Remove the old spring retainer and install the new spring retainer with a bolt (5/16 x 2–3/4 inch) (Figure 2). Also install the previously removed spring. 11.
