ReleasingtheTransmission

Ifthemachinebecomesdisabledwiththemotorbrakeon,

youcandisengagethedrumfromthetransmissiontoallow

themachinetobemaneuvered.

1.Ontherightrearcornerofthemachine,locatethe

tractionengage/disengagelevernexttothedrive

housingdrum(Figure33).

2.Rotatetheleverrearwardtodisengagethetransmission

fromthedrum.

Important:Makesuretopushtheleverfromthe

fronttopreventyourhandfrombeingstruckby

thespringloadedlever.

3.Movethemachineasneeded

Important:Ifpossible,donottowthemachine.If

itisabsolutelynecessary,donottowatanyspeed

greaterthan4.8kph(3mph);alwaysdisengage

thetransmissionfromthedrum.Failingtodoso

willlikelycausedamagetothemachine,especially

theelectricalcomponents.

4.Whennished,rotatetheleverforwardtoengagethe

transmissiontothedrum.

Note:Theservicebrakeisstilloperationalwiththe

transmissiondisengagedfromthedrum.
