Storage
StoringtheMachine
1.Cleanthemachine.
Important:Youcanwashthemachinewithmild
detergentandwater.Donotpressurewashthe
machine.Avoidexcessiveuseofwater,especially
neartheshiftleverplate,theInfoCenter,thepower
center,andthemachinepowerconnector.
2.Storethemachineinacool,clean,drygarageorstorage
area,awayfromdirectsunlight.Donotstoreitina
locationwherethetemperaturewilldropbelow-25
degreesC(-13degreesF)orriseabove45degreesC
(113degreesF).Temperaturesoutsideofthisrange
willdamageyourbattery.
Important:Thetemperaturethatthebatterypack
isstoredatwillaffectitslongtermlife.Storage
forlongperiodsoftimeathightemperatureswill
reducethelifeofthebatterypack,especiallyifthe
packisstoredwithahighcharge.Wherepossible
storethemachineinacool(notbelowfreezing)
location.
3.Connectthebatterytothechargerandkeepthe
chargerpluggedintoapoweroutletandturnedon
forthedurationofstorage.
Important:After10days,thechargerwillentera
storagemaintenancemode,adjustingthebattery
toachargeof40%ofmaximum.Thischargelevel
duringlongtermstoragewillensurethefulllifeof
thebattery.Ifyoudonotkeepthebatterypack
onthechargerandallowittoenterstoragemode,
theahighstateofchargeinthepackwillshorten
thelifeofthebattery,especiallyifstoredinwarm
conditions.
4.Checkandtightenallbolts,nuts,andscrews.Repairor
replaceanypartthatisdamagedordefective.
5.Paintallscratchedorbaremetalsurfaces.Paintis
availablefromyourAuthorizedServiceDistributor.
6.Coverthemachinetoprotectitandkeepitclean.
RemovingtheMachinefrom
Storage
1.Turnoffanddisconnectthechargerfromthemachine.
2.ConnecttheT-handleconnectortothemainpower
connector.
3.Turnonthemachineandwait20seconds.
4.Turnoffthemachineanddisconnectthebattery.
5.Connectthebatterytothechargerandturnonthe
charger.
Thechargerwillenterthenormalchargemodeand
chargethebatterytofullcapacity.
