youcanbegingroomingontheplayinggreens.

However,eachgreenmayresponddifferently

togrooming.Inaddition,growingconditions

areconstantlychanging.Inspectthegroomed

greensfrequentlyandmakeadjustmentstothe

groomingprocedureasoftenasnecessary.

TransportingtheMachine

Whenyouwishtomowwithoutthegroomerorneed

totransportthemachine,raisethegroomingreelinto

itsraisedtransportpositionasshowninFigure22.

Maintenance

CleaningtheGrooming

Reel

Washoffthegroomingreelafteruse.Donotleavethe

groomingreelinwaterorthecomponentswillrust.

GreasingtheGroomer

Bearings

Lubricatethegroomerbearings(Figure26andFigure

27)weeklyorafterevery10operatinghours,before

extendedperiodsofnonuse,andimmediatelyafter

everywashing.Pumpgreaseintottingsuntilgrease

ispurgedontogroomershaft.Wipeexcessgrease

fromthesealsandshaft.

Note:Operategroomerfor30secondsafter

greasing.Disengagecuttingunitandwipeexcess

greasefromthesealsandshaft.
