Subject: Backlap Kit (63-4960) connectors have been improved.
Backlap Kit (63-4960) is obsolete and superseded by Backlap Kit (92-9656). The new
Backlap Kit has improved Hydraulic Fittings that are more leak resistant. The improved
Hydraulic Fittings (92-9658 and 92-9659) included in this kit are more positively
interlocked by rotating a knurled release collar. When these fittings are disconnected,
the tighter tolerance fit reduces the typical oil leakage associated with a quick
disconnect feature.
The improved fittings can be installed on any traction unit equipped with the original kit
but must be installed as two matched pairs (4 parts). To prevent confusion, we
recommend these parts should be installed in sets of six (12 parts).
Backlap Kit (92-9656) and Hydraulic Fittings (92-9658 and 92-9659) are available
through your local Toro distributor, if needed.
Note: The new style Fittings will not connect to the older Fittings, therefore both style
fittings will continue to be available individually.
