Pre-MaintenanceSafety
•Beforeadjusting,cleaning,repairing,orleaving
themachine,dothefollowing:
–Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
–Movethethrottleswitchtothelow-idleposition.
–Disengagethecuttingunits.
–Lowerthecuttingunits.
–Ensurethatthetractionisinneutral.
–Engagetheparkingbrake.
–Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
–Waitforallmovingpartstostop.
–Allowmachinecomponentstocoolbefore
performingmaintenance.
•Ifthecuttingunitsareinthetransportposition,use
thepositivemechanicallock(ifavailable)before
youleavethemachineunattended.
•Ifpossible,donotperformmaintenancewhilethe
engineisrunning.Keepawayfrommovingparts.
•Usejackstandstosupportthemachineor
componentswhenrequired.
•Carefullyreleasepressurefromcomponentswith
storedenergy.
RemovingtheSeat
Assembly
Youmayremovetheseatassemblytoaccessthe
valveblockareaofthemachine.
1.Unlatchandraisetheseat,securingitwiththe
proprod.
2.Disconnectthe2wire-harnessconnectorsunder
theseat.
3.Lowertheseatandremovetherollpinsecuring
theseat-pivotrodtotheframe(Figure25).

4.Slidetheseat-pivotrodtotheleftside,slidethe
seatforward,andlifttheseatout.
5.Reversetheproceduretoinstalltheseat.
Note:Ifyouremovetheseatassemblyfrequently,
youcanreplacetherollpinwithanR-keypin(Part
No.3290-467).
RaisingtheMachine
CAUTION
Ifthemachineisnotproperlysupported,it
couldfall,crushingyouorothers.
Beforeservicing,supportthemachinewith
jackstandsorblocksofwood.
Beforeraisingthemachine,lowerthecuttingunits.
Thejackingpointsareasfollows:
•Rightside—underthejackpadandadjacenttothe
ROPS-supportbracket(Figure26)
•Leftside—underthestep
•Rear—atthecasterfork
