Thehourmeter(Figure24)indicatesthetotalhoursthe
machinehasoperated.Itstartstofunctionwheneverthe
keyswitchisrotatedtoOn.
IgnitionSwitch
Insertthekeyintotheswitch(Figure24)andturnit
clockwiseasfaraspossibletotheStartpositiontostart
theengine.Releasethekeyassoonastheenginestarts;
thekeywillmovetotheOnposition.Turnthekey
counterclockwisetotheOffpositiontostoptheengine.
SteeringArmLockingLever
Rotatethelever(Figure24)rearwardtoloosenthe
adjustment,raiseorlowerthesteeringarmforoperator
comfort,then,rotatetheleverforwardtotightenthe
adjustment.
WaterTemperatureLight
Thelight(Figure24)glowsandtheengineautomatically
shutsdownwhentheenginecoolanttemperaturegets
toohigh.
EngineOilPressureLight
Thelight(Figure24)glowsiftheengineoilpressure
dropsbelowasafelevel.
BatteryWarningLight
Thelight(Figure24)glowsifthebatterychargeislow.
GlowPlugIndicatorLight
Whentheglowplugindicatorlight(Figure24)islit,it
indicatestheglowplugsareon.
Raise/LowerMowControl
Movingthecontrol(Figure24)forwardduringoperation
lowersthecuttingunitsandstartsthereels.Pullback
onthecontroltostopthereelsandraisethecutting
units.Duringoperationthereelscanbestoppedby
pullingbackonthecontrolmomentarilyandreleasingit.
Restartthereelsbymovingthecontrolforward.
HighTemperatureOverrideButton
Iftheenginekillsduetoanoverheatingcondition,press
theoverridebutton(Figure24)inandholdituntilthe
machinecanbemovedtoasafelocationandallowedto
cooldown.
Note:Whenusingtheoverridebutton,itmustbe
helddowncontinuouslytooperate.Donotuseitfor
extendedperiodsoftime.
BacklapLever
Usethebacklaplever(Figure25)inconjunctionwith
theraise/lowermowcontrolleverandthereelspeed
controlforbacklappingthereels.
