Stoppingonawetgreenwiththemachinemay
leavemarksorindentationsfromthewheels.
6.Finishcuttingthegreenbymowingtheouter
periphery.Besuretochangethedirectionofcutting
fromthepreviousmowing.Alwayskeepweather
andturfconditionsinmindandbesuretochange
thedirectionofmowingfromthepreviouscutting.
Replacetheag.
Attheendoftheperipherycut,momentarilypull
backontheraise/lowermowlevertoshutthereels
offwithoutraisingthem.Continuemovingforward
untilthereelstopsrotating,then,driveoffthegreen
andraisethereels(Thiswillhelppreventdribbling
grassontothegreenwhileraisingthereels).
Note:Attheendoftheperipherycut,momentarily
pullbackontheraise/lowermowlevertoshutthe
reelsoffwithoutraisingthem.Continuemoving
forwarduntilthereelstopsrotating,then,driveoff
thegreenandraisethereels(Thiswillhelpprevent
dribblinggrassontothegreenwhileraisingthe
reels).
7.Emptythegrassbasketsofallclippingsbefore
transportingtothenextgreen.Heavywetclippings
placeanunduestrainonthebasketsandwill
addunnecessaryweighttothemachine,thereby
increasingtheloadontheengine,hydraulicsystem,
brakes,etc.
TransportOperation
Makesurethecuttingunitsareinthefullupposition.
Movethefunctionalcontrollevertothetransport
position.Usethebrakestoslowthemachinewhile
goingdownsteephillstoavoidlossofcontrol.Always
approachroughareasatareducedspeedandcross
severeundulationscarefully.Familiarizeyourselfwith
thewidthofthemachine.Donotattempttopass
betweenobjectsthatareclosetogethersothatcostly
damageanddowntimecanbeprevented.
InspectionandCleanupAfter
Mowing
Atthecompletionofthemowingoperation,thoroughly
washthemachinewithagardenhosewithoutanozzle
soexcessivewaterpressurewillnotcausecontamination
anddamagetosealsandbearings.Neverwashawarm
engineorelectricalconnectionswithwater.
Aftercleaning,itisrecommendedthemachinebe
inspectedforpossiblehydraulicuidleaksanddamage
orweartohydraulicandmechanicalcomponents.The
cuttingunitsshouldbecheckedforsharpness.Also,
lubricatethetractionpedalandbrakeshaftassembly
withSAE30oilor31spraylubricanttodetercorrosion
andhelpkeepthemachineperformingsatisfactorily
duringthenextmowingoperation.
TowingtheMachine
Incaseofanemergencythemachinecanbetowedfor
ashortdistance(lessthan1/4mile(0.4km)).However,
Torodoesnotrecommendthisasstandardprocedure.
Important:Donottowthemachinefasterthan
2-3MPH(3-5km/h)becausethedrivesystem
maybedamaged.Ifthemachinemustbemoved
aconsiderabledistance,transportitonatruckor
trailer.
