AdjustingtheTransmission
forNeutral
Ifthemachinecreepswhenthetractioncontrolpedal
isintheneutralposition,theneutralreturnmechanism
mustbeadjusted.
1.Blockupundertheframesothatoneofthefront
wheelsisoffoftheoor.
Note:Note:Ifmachineisequippedwitha3wheel
drivekit,alsoraiseandblockrearwheel.
2.Starttheengine,movethethrottletoSlow,and
checkthefrontwheelthatisoffoftheoor;itmust
notberotating.
3.Ifthewheelisrotating,stoptheengineandproceed
asfollows:
A.Loosenbothjamnutssecuringthetraction
controlcabletothebulkheadonthehydrostat
(Figure49).Makesurethejamnutsareloosened
equallyandsufcientlytoallowadjustment.
B.Loosenthenutsecuringtheeccentrictothetop
ofthehydrostat(Figure49).
C.MovethefunctionalcontrollevertoNeutraland
thethrottletoSlow .Starttheengine.
D.Rotatetheeccentricuntilcreepdoesnotoccurin
eitherdirection.Whenthewheelstopsrotating,
tightenthenutlockingtheeccentricandthe
adjustment(Figure49).Verifytheadjustment
withthethrottleintheSlowandFastposition.
E.Fromeachsideofthebulkhead,tightenthe
locknutsevenly,securingthetractioncableto
thebulkhead(Figure49).Donottwistthecable.
Note:Ifcabletensionexistswhenthefunctional
controlleverisinneutral,themachinemay
creepwhentheleverismovedtotheMowor
Transportposition.

AdjustingtheTransportSpeed
Thetractionpedalisadjustedformaximumtransport
speedatthefactory,butanadjustmentmayberequired
ifthepedalreachesfullstrokebeforeitcontactsthe
pedalstop,orifadecreaseintransportspeedisdesired.
Pressdownonthetractionpedal.Ifthepedalcontacts
thestop(Figure50)beforetensionisfeltonthecable,
anadjustmentisrequired:

1.Loosenangeheadlocknutssecuringthepedalstop
totheoorplate(Figure50).
2.Adjustthepedalstopsoitcontactsthepedalrod
andtightenthenuts.
AdjustingtheMowingSpeed
Themachineisadjustedatthefactory,butspeedmay
bevariedifdesired.
1.Loosenthejamnutonthetrunnionbolt(Figure51).
2.Loosenthenutsecuringthelockandmowbrackets
onthepedalpivot.
