backlapping,turnthereelsoffbymovingthe
Raise/LowerMowcontrolrearwardandstopthe
engine.Aftercompletingadjustments,repeatsteps4
through8.
11.Repeattheprocedureforallcuttingunitsyouwant
tobacklap.
12.Whennished,returnthebacklapleverstothe
“F”position,lowertheseat,andwashalllapping
compoundoffofthecuttingunits.Adjustcutting
unitreeltobedknifeasneeded.Movethecuttingunit
reelspeedcontroltothedesiredmowingposition.
Important:Ifthebacklapleverisnotreturned
tothe“F”positionafterbacklapping,the
cuttingunitswillnotraiseorfunctionproperly.

Iftheoilbecomescontaminated,contactyourlocal
Torodistributorbecausethesystemmustbeushed.
Contaminatedoillooksmilkyorblackwhencompared
tocleanoil.
1.Cleantheareaaroundtheltermountingarea
(Figure57).Placeadrainpanunderthelterand
removethelter.
Note:Iftheoilisnotgoingtobedrained,
disconnectandplugthehydrauliclinegoingtothe
lter.

2.Fillthereplacementlterwiththeappropriate
hydraulicuid,lubricatethesealinggasket,andhand
turnituntilthegasketcontactsthelterhead.Then
tighten3/4turnfurther.Theltershouldnowbe
sealed.
3.Fillthehydraulicreservoirwithapproximately5.5
gallonsofhydraulicoil;refertoServicingHydraulic
SystemFluid.
4.Startthemachineandrunitatidlefor3to5minutes
tocirculatetheuidandremoveanyairtrappedin
thesystem.
5.Stopthemachine,rechecktheuidleveland
replenishasrequired.
6.Disposeoftheoilandlterproperly.
