CheckingtheHydraulicLines
andHoses
Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecan
penetrateskinandcauseinjury.
•Makesureallhydraulicuidhosesand
linesareingoodconditionandallhydraulic
connectionsandttingsaretightbefore
applyingpressuretothehydraulicsystem.
•Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrompin
holeleaksornozzlesthatejecthighpressure
hydraulicuid.
•Usecardboardorpapertondhydraulic
leaks.
•Safelyrelieveallpressureinthehydraulic
systembeforeperforminganyworkonthe
hydraulicsystem.
•Getimmediatemedicalhelpifuidis
injectedintoskin.
Checkthehydrauliclinesandhosesdailyforleaks,kinked
lines,loosemountingsupports,wear,loosettings,
weatherdeterioration,andchemicaldeterioration.Make
allnecessaryrepairsbeforeoperating.
Storage
Ifyouwishtostorethemachineforalongperiodof
time,thefollowingstepsshouldbeperformedpriorto
storage:
1.Removeaccumulationsofdirtandoldgrass
clippings.Sharpenthereelsandbedknives,if
necessary;refertotheCuttingUnitOperator’sManual.
Usearustpreventiveonbedknivesandreelblades.
Greaseandoilalllubricationpoints;referto
Lubrication.
2.Blockupthewheelstoremoveanyweightonthe
tires.
3.Drainandreplacethehydraulicuidandlterand
inspectthehydrauliclinesandttings.Replace,if
necessary;refertoChangingtheHydraulicOiland
FilterandCheckingtheHydraulicLinesandHoses.
4.Allfuelshouldberemovedfromthefueltank.Run
theengineuntilitstopsfromlackoffuel.Replace
thefuellter;refertoReplacingtheFuelFilter.
5.Whiletheengineisstillwarm,draintheoilfromthe
crankcase.Rellitwithfreshoil;refertoChanging
theEngineOilandFilter.
6.Cleandirtandchafffromthecylinder,cylinderhead
ns,andblowerhousing.
7.Removethebatteryandchargeitfully.Eitherstore
itontheshelforonthemachine.Leavethecables
disconnectedifitisstoredonthemachine.Store
thebatteryinacoolatmospheretoavoidquick
deteriorationofthechargeinthebattery.
8.Ifpossible,storethemachineinawarm,drylocation.
