Important:Themachineshouldneverbestopped
onagreenwiththecuttingunitreelsoperating
asdamagetotheturfmayresult.Stoppingona
wetgreenwiththemachinemayleavemarksor
indentationsfromthewheels.
6.Finishcuttingthegreenbymowingtheouterperiphery.
Besuretochangethedirectionofcuttingfromthe
previousmowing.Alwayskeepweatherandturf
conditionsinmindandbesuretochangethedirection
ofmowingfromthepreviouscutting.Replacetheag.
Attheendoftheperipherycut,momentarilypullback
ontheraise/lowermowlevertoshutthereelsoff
withoutraisingthem.Continuemovingforwarduntil
thereelstopsrotating,then,driveoffthegreenand
raisethereels(Thiswillhelppreventdribblinggrass
ontothegreenwhileraisingthereels).
Note:Attheendoftheperipherycut,momentarily
pullbackontheraise/lowermowlevertoshutthereels
offwithoutraisingthem.Continuemovingforward
untilthereelstopsrotating,then,driveoffthegreen
andraisethereels(Thiswillhelppreventdribbling
grassontothegreenwhileraisingthereels).
7.Emptythegrassbasketsofallclippingsbefore
transportingtothenextgreen.Heavywetclippings
placeanunduestrainonthebasketsandwilladd
unnecessaryweighttothemachine,therebyincreasing
theloadontheengine,hydraulicsystem,brakes,etc.
TransportOperation
Makesurethecuttingunitsareinthefullupposition.Move
thefunctionalcontrollevertothetransportposition.Use
thebrakestoslowthemachinewhilegoingdownsteep
hillstoavoidlossofcontrol.Alwaysapproachroughareas
atareducedspeedandcrosssevereundulationscarefully.
Familiarizeyourselfwiththewidthofthemachine.Donot
attempttopassbetweenobjectsthatareclosetogetherso
thatcostlydamageanddowntimecanbeprevented.
InspectionandCleanupAfter
Mowing
Atthecompletionofthemowingoperation,thoroughlywash
themachinewithagardenhosewithoutanozzlesoexcessive
waterpressurewillnotcausecontaminationanddamageto
sealsandbearings.Neverwashawarmengineorelectrical
connectionswithwater.
Aftercleaning,itisrecommendedthemachinebeinspected
forpossiblehydraulicuidleaksanddamageorwearto
hydraulicandmechanicalcomponents.Thecuttingunits
shouldbecheckedforsharpness.Also,lubricatethetraction
pedalandbrakeshaftassemblywithSAE30oilor31spray
lubricanttodetercorrosionandhelpkeepthemachine
performingsatisfactorilyduringthenextmowingoperation.
TowingtheMachine
Incaseofanemergencythemachinecanbetowedforashort
distance(lessthan1/4mile(0.4km)).However,Torodoes
notrecommendthisasstandardprocedure.
Important:Donottowthemachinefasterthan2-3
MPH(3-5km/h)becausethedrivesystemmaybe
damaged.Ifthemachinemustbemovedaconsiderable
distance,transportitonatruckortrailer.
