15( When changing from one type of hydraulic fluid
to another, be certain to remove all the old fluid from the
system, as some fluids are incompatible with others.

15( This biodegradable hydraulic fluid is not
compatible with the fluids in Group 1 and 2.
15( An Oil Cooler Kit, Part No. 100-3166, is required
on the traction unit when using the biodegradable fluid.
Fluid temperature should not exceed 180F (82C).
15( When changing from standard fluid to the
biodegradable type, be certain to follow approved
flushing procedures as published by Mobil. Contact
your local Toro Distributor for details.

15( A red dye additive for the hydraulic system fluid is
available in 2/3 oz bottles. One bottle is sufficient for
4-6 gallons of hydraulic fluid. Order Part No. 44-2500
from your Authorized Toro Distributor.
Position machine on a level surface. Make sure
machine has cooled down so fluid is cold.
Remove cap from reservoir and check level of fluid.
The fluid should be up to bottom of screen in filler neck.
If fluid level is low, slowly fill reservoir with
appropriate hydraulic fluid until level reaches bottom of
screen. "
To prevent system contamination, clean
top of hydraulic fluid containers before puncturing.
Assure pour spout and funnel are clean.
Install reservoir cap. Wipe up any fluid that may
have spilled.

Any water accumulation should be drained from the
fuel filter/water separator before each use or when
warning light glows.
Position machine on a level surface and stop the
engine.
Place a drain pan under the fuel filter.

Open the drain plug on the fuel filter/water
separator approximately one turn and drain any
accumulated water. If necessary, operate priming
pump to drain water (Fig. 20). Tighten the plug after
draining.
Start engine and make sure warning light goes out.
Check for leaks.
Because the accumulated water will be mixed
with diesel fuel, drain the fuel filter into a suitable
container and dispose of properly.
