HourMeter
Thehourmeter(Figure24)indicatesthetotalhoursthe
machinehasoperated.Itstartstofunctionwheneverthekey
switchisrotatedtoOn.
IgnitionSwitch
Insertthekeyintotheswitch(Figure24)andturnitclockwise
asfaraspossibletotheStartpositiontostarttheengine.
Releasethekeyassoonastheenginestarts;thekeywillmove
totheOnposition.TurnthekeycounterclockwisetotheOff
positiontostoptheengine.
SteeringArmLockingLever
Rotatethelever(Figure24)rearwardtoloosentheadjustment,
raiseorlowerthesteeringarmforoperatorcomfort,then,
rotatetheleverforwardtotightentheadjustment.
WaterTemperatureLight
Thelight(Figure24)glowsandtheengineautomaticallyshuts
downwhentheenginecoolanttemperaturegetstoohigh.
EngineOilPressureLight
Thelight(Figure24)glowsiftheengineoilpressuredrops
belowasafelevel.
BatteryWarningLight
Thelight(Figure24)glowsifthebatterychargeislow .
GlowPlugIndicatorLight
Whentheglowplugindicatorlight(Figure24)islit,it
indicatestheglowplugsareon.
Note:Theglowplugindicatorlightmayilluminatefora
shorttimeaftertheenginehasstarted;thisisnormal.
Raise/LowerMowControl
Movingthecontrol(Figure24)forwardduringoperation
lowersthecuttingunitsandstartsthereels.Pullbackonthe
controltostopthereelsandraisethecuttingunits.During
operationthereelscanbestoppedbypullingbackonthe
controlmomentarilyandreleasingit.Restartthereelsby
movingthecontrolforward.
HighTemperatureOverrideButton
Iftheenginekillsduetoanoverheatingcondition,pressthe
overridebutton(Figure24)inandholdituntilthemachine
canbemovedtoasafelocationandallowedtocooldown.
Note:Whenusingtheoverridebutton,itmustbehelddown
continuouslytooperate.Donotuseitforextendedperiods
oftime.
BacklapLever
Usethebacklaplever(Figure25)inconjunctionwiththe
raise/lowermowcontrolleverandthereelspeedcontrolfor
backlappingthereels.
