Contaminationbymineral–basedhydraulicuidswillchange
thebiodegradabilityandtoxicityofthisoil.Whenchanging
fromstandarduidtothebiodegradabletype,becertainto

FillingtheHydraulicTank
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface.Makesurethe
machinehascooleddownsotheoiliscold.
2.Removethecapfromthereservoirandcheckthelevel
ofuid.Theuidshouldbeuptothebottomofthe
screeninthellerneck(Figure33).

3.Iftheuidlevelislow,slowlyllthereservoirwiththe
appropriatehydraulicuiduntilthelevelreachesthe
bottomofthescreen.Donotoverll.
Important:Topreventsystemcontamination,
cleanthetopofthehydraulicuidcontainers
beforepuncturing.Ensurethepourspoutand
funnelareclean.
4.Installthereservoircap.Wipeupanyuidthatmay
havespilled.
Important:Checklevelofhydraulicuidbefore
engineisrststartedanddailythereafter.
