AdjustingtheTransmission
forNeutral
Ifthemachinecreepswhenthetractioncontrolpedalisin
theneutralposition,theneutralreturnmechanismmustbe
adjusted.
1.Blockupundertheframesothatoneofthefront
wheelsisoffoftheoor.
Note:Note:Ifmachineisequippedwitha3wheel
drivekit,alsoraiseandblockrearwheel.
2.Starttheengine,movethethrottletoSlow,andcheck
thefrontwheelthatisoffoftheoor;itmustnotbe
rotating.
3.Ifthewheelisrotating,stoptheengineandproceed
asfollows:
A.Loosenbothjamnutssecuringthetraction
controlcabletothebulkheadonthehydrostat
(Figure49).Makesurethejamnutsareloosened
equallyandsufcientlytoallowadjustment.
B.Loosenthenutsecuringtheeccentrictothetop
ofthehydrostat(
Figure49).
C.MovethefunctionalcontrollevertoNeutraland
thethrottletoSlow .Starttheengine.
D.Rotatetheeccentricuntilcreepdoesnotoccurin
eitherdirection.Whenthewheelstopsrotating,
tightenthenutlockingtheeccentricandthe
adjustment(Figure49).Verifytheadjustment
withthethrottleintheSlowandFastposition.
E.Fromeachsideofthebulkhead,tightenthe
locknutsevenly,securingthetractioncabletothe
bulkhead(Figure49).Donottwistthecable.
Note:Ifcabletensionexistswhenthefunctional
controlleverisinneutral,themachinemaycreep
whentheleverismovedtotheMoworTransport
position.

AdjustingtheTransportSpeed
Thetractionpedalisadjustedformaximumtransportspeed
atthefactory,butanadjustmentmayberequiredifthepedal
reachesfullstrokebeforeitcontactsthepedalstop,orifa
decreaseintransportspeedisdesired.
Pressdownonthetractionpedal.Ifthepedalcontacts
thestop(Figure50)beforetensionisfeltonthecable,an
adjustmentisrequired:

1.Loosenangeheadlocknutssecuringthepedalstopto
theoorplate(Figure50).
2.Adjustthepedalstopsoitcontactsthepedalrodand
tightenthenuts.
AdjustingtheMowingSpeed
Themachineisadjustedatthefactory,butspeedmaybe
variedifdesired.
1.Loosenthejamnutonthetrunnionbolt(Figure51).
2.Loosenthenutsecuringthelockandmowbrackets
onthepedalpivot.
